“ Colombar is a great spot if you’re into Sri Lankan flavours with a western twist. The hot butter cuttlefish is a must-try — super crispy and full of flavour. The mango chicken is also excellent, with a real, well-balanced mango taste. Cocktails are amazing and go perfectly with the food. The vibe is relaxed, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommended — will definitely be back. ”

“ Absolutely loved our experience here. The staff were amazing and the service was excellent. We had the chicken kottu, prawn curry and Ros pan, Chai and Mocha all were 10/10. The flavours were so authentic that it felt like being back in Sri Lanka. We were really craving proper Sri Lankan food and this place truly delivered. Highly satisfied. “ Absolutely delicious Sri Lankan food with incredible depth of flavour. Every dish was vibrant and comforting, but the standout for me was the prawn curry — perfectly cooked and full of rich, aromatic spices. A special mention to our server, Fiona, who was an absolute delight and truly the best waitress we’ve had. She was so accommodating and made the experience even more enjoyable. Cocktails were delicious as well. We loved the sambal so much that we asked if we could buy a tub to take home, and they kindly sold us one for $10 — a generous and thoughtful touch. My mum and sisters all thoroughly enjoyed the meal as well. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish — we can’t wait to return! ”

“ My family and I had a fantastic time celebrating my wife’s birthday, the food was great. The front staff also went out of their way to make sure my wife’s birthday was extra special. Thank you! Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food and beverage. the pan rolls and hot butter cuttlefish were so perfect along with red wines and the virgin mojito. the texture of the cheese and chicken koththu was amazing . also the chicken fried rice so good i loved the watalappan. specially the sizzling chocolote brownie with vanilla ice cream was so yummy we hope to come back again ???????????????? ”

Every dish was tasty, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation. Everything was delicious and satisfying. ​The evening was made even more special by a lovely and unexpected detail. A little birthday surprise was brought out, and it was made even more unique by the beautiful sound of a live acoustic guitar. “ We ordered a few drinks; faluda, virgin mojito, and a couple of beers along with some Sri Lankan favourites for mains: seafood fried rice, cheese chicken kottu, hot butter cuttlefish, devilled chicken, and egg roti. We finished off with a brownie and ice cream. The food was okay and flavours were alright. It was a quiet Sunday night with only a few long tables occupied. The restaurant was clean and the ambience was nice, making it a pleasant enough dining experience. ”

“ The food was very tasty and offered a generous portion. Staff were very friendly and supportive. We went there for dining experience without prior booking as it was our daughters 2nd birthday. Chef personally came to asked about the food, we just shared that we came because of her birthday . So they suprised her with a yummy cheese cake piece with a beloved greeting. That was super tasty and that gesture was so nice. In terms of the staff, they were really supportive. Their service was ncredible. ”
